Adam Lallana «Lloré mucho cuando dejé Liverpool… pero ahora soy todo un Brighton»
El genial mediapunta que ficho con la carta de libertad por el Brighton, fue entrevistado por Daily Mail, donde habló de esos últimos días en el Liverpool, como le costó aquella entrevista de despedida.
Lallana comentó que le costó muchísimo hacer aquella entrevista «Estaba evitando hacer esa entrevista porque sabía que mi emotividad estaba creciendo. Soy una persona emocional y sabía que este era el final de un capítulo para mí, mi esposa y mis hijos.
La entrevista fue sólo una gran emoción. En la vida, a veces las cosas son tristes, ¿no es así? Como familia nos despedíamos de los amigos y dejábamos la escuela y esas cosas.
Así que me desanimé en esa entrevista y luego el viernes en el entrenamiento me despedí y el gerente reunió a todo el mundo.
Los muchachos me habían hecho una camisa enmarcada y una bonita cita de Hendo (capitán Jordan Henderson). Lloré tanto que al final sólo me reía. Entonces empezamos el calentamiento y Milly dijo que mi llanto casi lo había hecho estallar. De un duro hombre de Yorkshire, eso es algo. Así que fue la despedida perfecta.
Al día siguiente me reuní con Graham Potter porque Brighton estaba jugando en Burnley. El domingo hice las maletas, el lunes fue médico y la tristeza desapareció. Simplemente desapareció. Mentalmente, había terminado con el Liverpool. No en el mal sentido. Pero la tristeza había desaparecido, la emoción había desaparecido».
Lallana dejó el Liverpool como campeón del mundo, de Europa y de la Premier League, terminando sus seis años en el club ayudándoles a ganar el título por primera vez en 30 años.
«He amado al Liverpool. Fue la mejor despedida de mi vida, ganando la Premier League. Pero ahora no me importa. Estoy listo para Brighton. En un día se convirtió.
De repente estaba en Brighton haciendo el reconocimiento médico con mi padre y mi compañero, dándoles un recorrido por el campo de entrenamiento, el cuarto de botas, viendo dónde iba a estar mi clavija. Fue genial. Ahora somos todos fans de Brighton, comprando a los niños los equipos.
